Bane of the Trapped provides increased damage against control-impaired enemies. At rank 25 it slows nearby enemies. This gem is a solid choice for any build.

Bane of the Powerful provides increased damage for a short time after killing an elite pack (starting with 30sec). At rank 25 the second effect gives a damage boost and reduction against elites. Very useful effects for any character. You can use the timer as an indicator for your limits; if the effect wears off before you manage to renew it, you're past your current limits.

Bane of the Stricken provides increased damage with each attack you make against a single enemy. At rank 25 it gives a powerful damage boost against bosses and Rift Guardians. Use this gem in Greater Rifts runs.

Boon of the Hoarder makes enemies drop more gold and at rank 25 gives a brief speed boost on gold pick-up. The effect is improved when combined with the Avarice Band ring. Use this gem in Torment runs instead of the Bane of the Stricken.

Flawless Royal Diamonds into helm sockets for cooldown reduction.
Flawless Royal Topazes into chest and pants sockets for damage and All Resistance.
Flawless Royal Emeralds into weapon sockets for more critical hit damage.
